These Springfield Rifled Muskets are at the Springfield Arsenal Museum, in Springfield, Mass. I believe that there are between 800 and 1000 weapons in this one display!
A couple of years ago, I threw together this little book with some
information I had gathered over the years. There is a lot of guesswork
in this book, so I would take the conclusions with a grain of salt.
It was fun for me to put together, though.
